An Independent Review of the iPhone 3GS Smart Phone

Posted in Uncategorized on October 7th, 2011 by admin

The iPhone 3GS Smart Phone -an Objective Review

If you’ve been having a hard time figuring out if the iPhone 3GS is a good buy, keep reading this review. As Apple focuses its AT&Tention on the latest and future iPhone releases it is going to give you the opportunity to get the older models, like the iPhone 3GS for better prices. As you are going to find out, there are a lot of things that make this phone great for some and not so great for others.

The days of calling and receiving phone calls from your phone or over – smartphone technology allows you to do a lot more with your cell. One of the most useful functions of the iPhone 3GS is that it contains a GPS system. Pocket-sized and handy to use, the GPS unit in your smart phone can go with you wherever you are even if you already own a GPS for your car. Downloading the Maps & Compass app to use with your iPhone is simple to do and easy to use. To locate North, simply turn on this app and you will know which direction to go. Finding a place to go has never been easier using the Maps function on the app. You can locate anything from restaurants to hotels by just typing in the word and it will present the ones nearest you.

The iPhone 3GS smart phone contains a camera that will let you take really good quality pictures as well as videos. The camera is 3 megapixels and autofocus and performs well but isn’t as great as the cameras that are contained within the later modeled smart phones but it works well for casual use. If you’re a serious photographer or maker or videos, you’ll probably have separate devices for taking pictures or shooting movies anyway. For casual photographers and video takers though, it’s good and the phone makes it easy to upload the photos to the web or to send them in an email to someone else.

The iPhone 3GS offers you the ability to cut, copy and paste images and text which seems simple but comes in quite handy from time to time. This is something you take for granted on your computer, but it’s still a fairly advanced feature for a phone, and the iPhone 3GS was one of the first to make this available. Not only are you able to copy blocks of text, you are also able to copy entire sections of websites–including the images they contain. Then you just paste them into an email or a document. Many higher priced smart phones also have this capability, but it would be hard to find a copy and paste feature that works this well on another phone in the price range of the iPhone 3GS. You can buy many types of mobile phones, and the iPhone 3GS smart phone will mainly appeal to fans of Apple products. For example, is is incredibly easy to sync your iPhone with any other Apple devices you might own like your computer, your iPod or your iPad. Windows based computers can use them too because iTunes works on PCs too.
